Mandurang South House

This project is located in the middle of a forest area in Mandurang South and is designed to take maximum advantage of the views, North orientation and the natural slope of the land. The client didn’t want stairs in his house but liked the idea of a double storey. The response to this is two simple curved ramps which circumnavigate an elevated lounge room. The house is arranged basically on three levels with the main living space at the middle entry level.

The bulk of the building is to be clad in plain cement sheet, reducing cost as well as achieving the required bushfire resistance.
